The Panagea Tales Box Set: The Complete Epic Fantasy Series
McKenzie Austin is an award-winning author living and writing in Green Bay, Wisconsin, where she draws inspiration for her fantasy novels from copious amounts of craft beer and cheese.
Enchanted pocket watches, vengeful gods and goddesses, and a world built by iron and steam: it's the award-winning fantasy series you've been waiting for, all wrapped up in one digital box set. This collection includes the completed tetralogy of the Panagea Tales:
The Tree That Grew Through Iron
The Gods Who Harvested Men
The Serpent That Swallowed Its Tail
The Canary That Sang to the World
Adults who enjoy environmental/epic fantasy with steampunk and dystopian elements.

Anything the designer thinks would compliment the steampunk fantasy genre/serious mood.
Font style: The individual books in the series used the font 'Morpheus' but I'm open to the designer using something they think is appropriate for the genre.
Mood: Dystopian/serious. Something that says "This book is for adults and has dark themes."
Since this is for the box set, I'd like to capture the 'mood' of the entire story, with the three main characters as the prominent feature. You can find the general appearances of these characters at my website (http://www.treethatgrewthroughiron.…characters) but I will also describe them in detail here.
I'd like the main character (Nicholai Addihein) in the center of the cover, preferably holding a pocket watch, with a look of exhausted determination on his face, if possible. (Nicholai is the one on the website who wears a black suit vest over white button-up shirt, a black top hat with goggles on it, black dress pants, dark brown loosely-curled hair).
At one side of him, I'd like Kazuaki Hidataka. I'd prefer him to look rather fierce/serious. He is the captain of a 'pirate' ship and has that vibe about him. He's the one on the website with the long, disheveled black hair, a patch over his right eye that covers most of that side of his face, black mustache and beard, and he typically wears a beaten/ragged long jacket.
At Nicholai's other side, I'd like to feature Umbriel Dasyra. She would have a peaceful look about her. She's a bit ethereal and I'd love it if a seedling could be coming out of her palm (she can create seeds with her body's energy and plans to reforest their broken world). She's the one on the website with the silver hair/sleek features.
I realize this is already going to take up quite a bit of room. If there's any room at all in the background, I'd love to feature a pirate-style airship flying in the background (doesn't need to be terribly detailed, even a silhouette would be fine) and the overall Victorian-esque steampunk vibe to represent the world the live in.
What to avoid
I would prefer the images not be stock, but if the designer thinks he or she can appropriately honor the characters' appearances with stock images, I'd be open to seeing their vision.
I like how all three fit well on this cover.
