Memorias de Platino
Octavio Martinez is a determined individual who was forced to face the biggest fight of his life at the short age of 21. His will to live, as well, as his families' and friends' motivation helped him get through what seemed to be an impossible challenge.
Memorias de Platino is my personal, emotional, long journey fighting brain cancer at the young age of 21. This book includes the most intimate lessons that cancer gave me such as loss, trust, love and friendship
Anyone who knows me and is interested in reading my story. The book is written in Spanish. Mostly Mexican people or native Spanish speakers from the age of 18-60. Both male and female. This is piece of work is intended for my family and close friends who watched me go through this hard patch in my life.
Book cover type
Im looking for a simple and strong cover that depicts a story about a young adult that was forced to face his hardest fight yet: brain cancer. I like the blue colors since they depict the calm portion of the treatment I received and the pinkish colors depict the love and harmony that I received from the people that helped me get through this. I'd like the cover to include an abstract chemotherapy bag (the ones that go hanging on the metal thing you carry around the hospital) , the title could go inside or outside the chemo bag. I want the design to be simple but attractive, the fonts to be used are the ones that resemble a typewriter. I want the imagery to be used to be kind of abstract but not to the point where the shapes and dimensions are lost. Keep it simple, not too colorful but not too blank. I want the white color to be the protagonist of the cover, however there must be addition of the blues and pinks. I don't want the blue and pink colors to be solid, they have to be faded in such way that the incorporate well into the white color. I want the strong colors to be included lightly, an example of what I mean by lightly is whenever they do a gender reveal party and pop the balloon the color shows up like in a cloud fashion. That is what I mean by faded and not in a solid way. I want the designer to be creative and make sure the cover is simple but powerful. I want people to know that they will be reading a story of a fight about cancer.
What to avoid
No strong colors for the pinks, avoid bright pink (magenta could be a good starting point). Avoid the baby blue colors and stick to the darker version of blue (navy, regular blue)
