The White Owl
B. D. Connor
In the realm of Aronmore, seventeen year old Aodhan Murphy succeeds his father as laird of his clan after his recent death. Whilst juggling his newfound responsibility and his marriage to his childhood sweetheart, Bridget, Aodhan is gifted with the long lost sword of the kings of Aronmore and has a vision urging him to enter the mysterious Síoraí Forest, home of the Goddess of Light. In neighbouring kingdom Riohdan, brilliant young swordsman William Robinson Beckwith is summoned to the capital to meet with King Nicholas and is sent on a secret mission into The Síoraí Forest to retrieve a magical artefact for his king. Meanwhile, in the shadow of the king, stands the enigmatic Lady Isabelle. Is she simply a faithful servant? Or does she have a greater part to play?
Anyone aged 15+. Lovers of Lord of the Rings and Game of Thrones should enjoy this novel.
Book cover type
I have an idea of the front cover resembling a flag of a deep blue with a white owl, wings outspread. But, an alternate idea could be a man in a kilt of grey and blue, with a deep blue shirt, holding a golden sword in front of a giant glowing white tree in the middle of a forest.
