Working with G has been great. She read the project description and really took to heart the elements I was trying to capture. She made every tiny adjustment I asked for, made recommendations I never would have thought of, and made this project a pleasant experience for me. I will definitely use her skills for the next book in this series and many other projects to come!
Great designer. Patient and easy to work with.
Excellent experience! She understood exactly what I wanted. Was very prompt making requested changes. Very seamless experience. I can see why she's won so many contests. Very creative and professional. 5 stars --- highly recommend this designer.

The title of my book is Summer Rain. The main character is a 16 year old girl named Summer (see synopsis attached) I would like to see a girl on the cover standing in the rain holding an umbrella with her back showing. I don't want her race to be revealed. I would like to leave that to the reader's imagination so if you show her hair it should be mid length and black. The sky should be cloudy with an overcast. I'd like to see a purple cover (maybe a mix of rich purples including the clouds. See cover examples attached.). I'd be open to a turquoise background as well. I'm not sure which would work best. I'm excited to see what creativity you can demonstrate. Also, I'd like pops of other colors such as hot pink, yellow and turquoise whether it's in the umbrella, her clothes, the words, etc. (see attached covers for examples). The book is set in Chicago so it's important that the picture doesn't have anything in the background that would make it appear that she's somewhere other than Chicago. The season the book takes place is summer. I'm not restricted to the umbrella. However, I would like there to be rain. I am open to the designers using their creativity.
Book size will be 5.5x8.5. The number of pages are unknown at this time but if I had to estimate it would be around 220. The book is being laid out right now. I can update with those details in a few days.
The main character, is going through a tough time due to the tragedy that her family experiences as well as the other events that follow; her best friends having problems, one of which disappears. Also, a girl begins to torment her at school.
