Fantasy Football for Smart People
I author the "Fantasy Football for Smart People" book series. The target audience is intermediate/advanced fantasy football players.
I'm writing a new book called "Fantasy Football for Smart People: 25 Mysteries Solved to Help You Draft a Better Team." The main concepts involved in the cover are fantasy football and mystery. I'm very open to letting you be creative with the design, but I need people to see the cover and immediately recognize it's about fantasy football. Maybe a nerdy magician pulling a football with rabbit ears out of a hat, with a computer that has fantasy football stats by his side and some sort of football-esque background (that's just a really simple idea).
Here are the current covers in the series: http://www.amazon.com/Jonathan-Bale…519HHI/ref
I like the minimalistic look of the background - a one-color background (not black, light blue, brown, white, or orange, as those are colors I already have). The main image(s) can be simple or complex..I'll let you do your thing.
One thing I need to keep consistent is the layout of the font. It needs to keep with the current pattern:
Fantasy
Football
for
Smart People
(subtitle)
Jonathan Bales
The subtitle can go above or below the main image. I'd like the font to generally resemble what is on my current covers, although it doesn't have to be exactly the same. The font is important, and I generally like that it changes color (as you can see with the current covers).
Fantasy football image ideas: computer/TV/iphone with numbers/math on it, football scoreboard, football field, goal post, end zone, stadium, etc.
Mystery image ideas: magnifying glass, question marks, fingerprints in the shape of a football, magician, detective
Again, feel free to be creative. Make a cover that jumps out on Amazon and would catch your eye.
I need this cover formatted for both Kindle and Createspace. The size of the paperback cover for Createspace needs to be 5x8. The book will be approximately 200 pages. The paperback version obviously needs a front cover, spine, and back cover.
On the back cover, I need the following text:
"Fantasy Football for Smart People: 25 Mysteries Solved to Help You Draft a Better Team" was created to take your fantasy football team over the edge by answering over two dozen critical mysteries in the world of fantasy football. How should I handle the flex position? What's the best way to draft rookies? Do players perform worse after receiving big contracts? What's one simple way to dramatically increase my team's chances of winning? How should my draft strategy change based on the draft slot?
"Fantasy Football for Smart People: 25 Mysteries Solved to Help You Draft a Better Team" is a collection of timeless lessons developed to transform you into a dominant fantasy football owner by using an analytical, data-driven approach to buck conventional wisdom. No matter drafting based on hunches. Real numbers, real analysis, real fantasy football championships.
