We provide resources for teachers who teach English as a second language. We also publish materials for learners of English.
What's your vision?
The title of the book is "ESL Worksheets and Activities for Kids". The author is Miryung Pitts. It's a book of worksheets and activities for teachers to copy and give to students who are learning English. The book is for elementary school students learning English at a beginner to pre-intermediate level. The age range is from around 6 to 11 years old. The topics in the book are: shapes, number, time, months, days, weather, prepositions, family, money ,and animals Some or all of these topics can be incorporated in the cover, but they don't have to be. If they are on the cover great, if not that is okay too. But there shouldn't be topics that aren't in the book on the cover. For example, there shouldn't be apples or fruit on the cover since those aren't covered in the book. The cover design should be center focused or loosely center focused but can have unimportant design elements around the edges. It should be colorful and playful since the material is aimed at kids. Other than these guidelines feel free to be as creative as you want to be. The front of the book is the main concern, but the back cover needs to be designed as well. It can be as simple as a solid color or it can be connected to the front cover. I'll add a description and barcode to the back cover later. If you want to put a box for a description on the back that's great, if not I can add one or just put the description over the back cover.
The book will be a 8.5 x 11 inch print book. There is a .125 inch bleed. And the spine will be about .2252, the exact spine width isn't know since the interior is still being worked on. So the width will be about 17.4752 inches and the height will be about 11.25 inches. Nothing crucial to the design should be near the edges since some of the edges are likely to be cutoff. The book will be printed through Createspace if that helps any. It will be sold primarily through Amazon so the cover should look good at full size as well as the smaller product image size used on Amazon. The final file should be a minimum of 300 dpi since it will be for print. Preferably the final file will be an Adobe Illustrator file since I will need to make some adjustments and do some resizing once the interior is finished and I add the back cover and spine.
Every design category has flexible pricing for all budgets. Book cover starts at $299.
