Steven W Nicholas
Dr. Nicholas is a marriage and family therapist who has spent his life researching the phenomenon of suicide and resiliency. He has a comprehensive private practice where he serves all walks of life.
Living Ideation is a flip from the common writings about suicide and depression. Traditionally people try to discover and treat those who display depression, anxiety, and suicidal ideations. This book highlights the opportunities to grow hopefulness, connectedness, and balance. His research and writings have explored how people can expand upon their living attributes, outlooks, and behaviors while ultimately outcompeting darkness, depression, and suicidal mindsets.
This book is written for anyone who has experiences with depression and suicidal mindsets. The second half of the book offers mental health clinicians strategies and approaches to treating patients.
Book cover type
This book is about living and moving away from death. I like concepts that embody nature and growth: plants/trees, birds, water, light. I lean toward the elements of nature and the contrast of light/dark.
