What's your vision?
We need a cover design for our newest book, a guide for parents to 60 fun, family-friendly activities that build preschool math skills. The skills are simple, but prepare the student for higher-level math thinking. They use items from around the house (blocks, stuffed animals, play food, toy trucks) to teach counting, enumeration, subitizing, initial addition and subtraction skills. We want the cover to convey: Fun! And thinking skills! And I can do this with my own child! The tentative title is Preschool Math at Home: How to Build the Best Possible Foundation for Your Child and the author is Kate Snow. A few of our other covers are attached. UPDATE: The covers submitted so far lack distinction--they look very much like a workbook you could get at any Target or B&N. Most have been eliminated. Also remember, this is for PRESCHOOLERS. Putting in upper-level math symbols doesn't work. And we don't want cartoon animated characters--that doesn't fit with our approach. We have extended the contest due to the dearth of original and engaging covers.
The book was previously self-published through CreateSpace. We do not want the current cover to represent the previous one: http://www.amazon.com/Preschool-Math-Home-Activities-Foundation/dp/1514318679/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1444669942&sr=1-1&keywords=preschool+math+at+home.
