I'm an author who is publishing a YA novel, starting in America. Opal Charm: The Path to Dawn. The target audience is 14-18 year olds.
What's your vision?
I want a realistic, not too cartoonish, picture of a black, 13 year old girl, straight haired/ pressed hair up to her shoulders with honey hazel eyes, facing you (readers) with a serious expression. Include a few acne scars, a flat nose, see the photo I attached for more skin/facial details. When in doubt, darker skin tone is strongly preferred, ex burnt umber. NO PROFILE SHOT. I want her hands raised slightly (bent elbows) and swirls of orange/golden energy floating over her palms. You can choose how thick these swirls are, they don't have to be swirls either! You can be creative with the form, size, etc of golden energy. I want this to be against a somewhat dark background, such as dawn's darkness before the sun rises or dusk (the lighting for the former is preferred). I would like her to be shown from the collarbone up, please include include a plain, dark shirt (dark green, deep brown, black-anything that doesn't seize attention). Please have the title of the book and my author name beneath it. You can be creative with the font as well.
The picture of the sky is similar to my setting and what I want for the cover. The picture of the girl in the dress has the facial features that I want my character to have on the cover.
Every design category has flexible pricing for all budgets. Book cover starts at $299.
