erber got their new book cover by running a design contest:
Create a book cover called Screen Magic: How your child learns from television
Check out erber's Book cover contest…
My name is Dr Norman P Erber. I am a research scientist, university educator, and developer of educational materials. I’ve published 8 textbooks in the area of hearing impairment and rehabilitation. I do research on children's ability to remember what they've seen on television. I have written a book entitled Screen Magic: How your child learns from television. The main target audience for this book includes parents and grandparents of children (with normal hearing) from 3 to 8 years old.
What's your vision?
Please design a front cover, back cover and spine for my book with the title 'Screen Magic'. Include the subtitle 'How your child learns from television' and the author’s name 'Dr Norman P Erber' on the cover. Front cover: I would like a photo of one child (front view) watching television. The child may hold a remote control. The child should be looking with great interest (eyes wide open). The child should not be looking or smiling at the photographer. The word “magic” in the title means that the child is learning something special from television that he/she might not learn in real life. The title "SCREEN MAGIC" and the subtitle "How your child learns from television" should be very easy to read. The author's name can be smaller. All text should be easy to read in a thumbnail image. The cover should be interesting to adults (parents and grandparents). The dimensions should be 6"x9" for the printed book. Please create book covers to suit the Createspace Amazon specifications (printed book version) and the Amazon KDP specifications (front cover) and Smashwords specifications (front cover) Back cover: Please find attached the back cover blurb, a photo of the author (which should sit on the and the logo. We will send you the ISBN and barcode as soon as we receive them (in the meantime, please leave a space in the bottom right hand corner for the barcode) Logo: We do not have an image of the logo, just a PDF of the complete business name (see attached). So please use only the first letter H with the red dot as the logo. Spine: Please put the title of the book and the author name and the logo on the spine. Thanks.
Please be creative. We don't wish to restrict you in any way. If you have any questions, please contact me. Thanks.
