Rud and the Damsel
An IT Professional by trade who enjoys writing whether it is a novel, short story or an article for a newsletter. You should never quit learning and writing continues to be a learning experience.
Set in the American frontier in the early 1800s. Rud, eleven, sees his family forsaken by those in his village and murdered by rough men from town. Alone and filled with hate and anger, Rud escapes into the wilderness and over the next seven years, survives in an often violent environment. On his annual trip into town for supplies, Rud, now eighteen, witnesses a wealthy family being attacked. Unlike those who had promised to help his family then hid in fear, Rud intervenes and saves the two children: Sixteen-year-old Patience and her younger brother, Billy. No longer alone, Rud must confront his past and with Patience's help, give up the hate and anger he has used to survive. Young Billy meets Alice, the girl he is destined to love (at least according to Alice) and finds his own path. https://www.wattpad.com/story/215712180-rud-and-the-damsel

And then… they selected 2 winners!
The Cre8ivePursuits design of Medallion Murders incorporated a suggestion I had but included something that no other designer thought of, place. It was the deciding factor not just for me but what many who were surveyed responded to. Very smart choice that is the main reason that this design was chosen over other equally good designs. I like it so much!
Along the way, they met lots of talented designers…
We think contests are a super fun way to get design.
