A City of Gold and Demons
Shelly and her family go wherever her husband’s high-speed career takes them. From the Pacific Northwest to the warm coasts of the Gulf, she is never quite sure where she will be when she pens her next great story. Her hubby, two crazy young kids and two unpredictable old rescue dogs keep her busy most days. Between lazy mountain hikes and glorious days at the beach, Shelly devours books like all good little bookworms do, especially those with even a hint of romance. Oh shoot, and she does housework. Don’t forget the housework! Shelly’s varied tastes in literature fuel her writing. She loves finding new authors to stalk and stories to enjoy. She has big plans for future novels reaching into genres such as twisted fairy tales, romantic comedy, paranormal fantasy, and science fiction. Stay tuned for more alpha males and the strong females who save them from themselves. Happy reading!
A City of Gold and Demons is a fantasy, post-apocalypse, romance novel. Helen Frig is a twenty-something woman just trying to survive in her post-apocalypse hometown of Las Vegas. Humans have become the servants/slaves to the demons and creatures of the Underworld. Her life begins to spiral when she draws the attention of her boss and demon warrior, Evander. The story follows Helen's coming of age. Evander and his three brothers' journey to right the world again through treacherous missteps around the globe. The story is filled with fantastic creatures like a dragon, a nemean lion, a man-sized raven, harpies, satyrs, minotaurs, griffins, hydra, Cerberus, and one awful bad guy who wants to have it all for himself. Helen has a habit of braiding and unbraiding her blonde hair. She is known for her golden locks dipped in red. Evander gives her a leather bracelet to wear around her left wrist that has a gold wedding band woven into it and a sword as the clasp. Everything is luxury and high-end for the creatures of the Underworld, and rundown squalor for the humans.
The target audience is new adult females. 18+ due to violence and language.

I was blown away by Wonderburg's designs. She submitted three different covers to my contest, and they were all so beautiful that it was hard to choose! She was so responsive and easy to work with as well. I highly recommend Wonderburg for all of your design needs!
Along the way, they met lots of talented designers…
