Cover Design for "The Architect"
Check out jacquelyn.walker's Book cover contest…
Jacquelyn Walker is a wife to her best friend and high school sweetheart. They have four children and are busy every single day. I started writing this book because I felt haunted by the characters. I kept hearing their conversations play out in my mind and I finally sat down and wrote out the scenes.
The Architect is a story of brokenness, sorrow, obedience, and faithfulness. The story follows two characters, Laura and Matthew, who both learn to trust and abide in the one true God. Laura is a widow who is clinging to the Lord for strength to overcome her grief. Matthew is an unbeliever and a criminal whose life is full of ivory tombs. For both people, the loss of loved ones alters the course of their lives and throws them into each other’s paths. This story is not for children. I have chosen to use strong language and striven to represent these characters’ lives accurately. It is my hope that as you read this story you will see not only the ugliness and pain, but also the immense beauty in the way the Lord designed their lives.
Christian women, probably married. People who have experienced loss.
Book cover type
I have this idea where the entire cover is a blueprint for architecture plans. And the title "The Architect" looks like columns and/or buildings. Maybe certain letters are longer than others to give them some dimension. But I still want the title to be obvious. I also like the idea where the title looks like its part of the blue print. I'm open to other options as well. I mostly want to avoid looking like a text book
