BEYOND THE PETTUS BRIDGE
It's a fictional work based on facts from her own life about a young, Yankee white woman that finds herself relocated to the heart of the south in the 1960's and is thrust into an evolution of personal purpose, cultural bias and justice. Includes elements of rape and murder.
Could be men and women, but it would likely mostly appeal to women --- I think of all ages. This is historical fiction. Young women who like historical fiction would be interested in this story and the truth and reality upon which it is based.
Book cover type
Have the words “a novel” on the front cover with my name. Open to ideas on this; however, The Edmund Pettus Bridge would be good. Author’s personal pictures uploaded (don’t have to use them) Colors I’d prefer: black, white, grey, light blue I’d like cover to be BOLD. Maybe not the “real” photo I sent but a “sketch” that resembles the E.P. Bridge. A blue sky for “hope.” What is “beyond”? Are there subtle forms of people? The mystery and depth of the topic --- the themes of sisterhood, respect for all people, the value of education and learning, being true to oneself, coming of age of the protagonist, the value of patriotism
