Pro Coaching Group got their new book cover by running a design contest:
Collegiate Aviation Review—International cover design (electronic publication)

The Collegiate Aviation Review—International (CaRi) is the refereed journal of the University Aviation Association (UAA). Both qualitative and quantitative research manuscripts relevant to aviation are acceptable.
What's your vision?
The only firm requirement is that the color set for the cover includes some blue and that the UAA logo (image uploaded) appears on the cover somewhere that does not detract from the Journal name and design. Since UAA is the overarching organization, it should be on the cover, but relatively small. This cover is for an academic aviation research journal. The focus of the new journal name is a global focus so something with airplanes, airports, and/or towers would be great. Something that depicts "international" would be great also, maybe flags of various countries or something. Consider aspects of aviation other than just airplanes (e.g. helicopters, UAVs, mechanics, airports, etc). The journal is an electronic journal with print options. The cover should support a standard 8.5" x 11" manuscript. Front and back cover page is requested with the majority of effort put on the front cover.
The UAA website is: http://www.uaa.aero If the image file is not good enough quality I can provide a better version. The "i" in "(CaRi)" should be superscript, 99designs does not allow me to do that in this editor.
Every design category has flexible pricing for all budgets. Book cover starts at $299.
Full copyright with production-ready files for digital and/or print.
