Medical & Pharmaceutical
Target is Amazon book and Kindle readers.
What's your vision?
Need a book cover design for Amazon hard copy and Kindle ebook download. The print cover will be 5 and 1/2 inches by 8 and 1/2 inches and the ebook will be per Kindle specification. The book is a medical mystery with romance and murder. The title of the book is The Center of Excellence. The front cover should have my name across the top (Michael Banas) and the title somewhere on the page. The front photo can be a modern hospital or medical building - (No more than 4-6 stories tall. No palm trees since the story is set in the Northeast United States). If there is room the front page can also include a limo with a driver standing outside waiting for a client or two young, good looking well dressed hotel attendants (male and female) being at your service. The spine of the book should include my name and the title. The back cover main photo should be a private jet waiting for take off, perhaps with the flight crew waiting and a beautiful woman approaching the plane or getting out of a car near the plane. If there is any room on the back a political logo to suggest a United States Senator (button, suit lapel with a flag) would work. The back cover should contain the book's title along with the following book description and author info: (Please italicize the titles Pennsylvania's Finest and The Center of Excellence below. Also set off my name Dr. Michael Banas is slightly larger print and color.) Phillip Drummer is a junior surgical resident beginning a six-month rotation at St. Michael’s Hospital. Here the young doctor and his colleagues are introduced to the reality of community medicine, in a bucolic valley replete with provincial character. Phil draws the coveted assignment to the Tucker Orthopedic Institute, a self-proclaimed Center of Excellence, where joint replacements are performed under the direction of the renowned Dr. Ian Tucker. Dr. Tucker is a local prodigy, having garnered fame in the development of the Tucker Cup, a revolutionary surgical implant for hip replacement surgery. Phil is immediately awed by the grandeur and spectacle of the Institute, seemingly awash with good fortune, or so it seems. The young doctor soon becomes involved in the complex social web of the valley, privy to disturbing information concerning Dr. Tucker and his ex-wife, Anastasia. News of a popular socialite gone missing triggers Phil’s deeper involvement into a series of troublesome events, highlighted by the peculiar arrival of a powerful United States Senator. The sudden disclosure of Phil’s developing relationship with a nursing student ignites a firestorm that rapidly spreads throughout the rural community. In short order Phil Drummer is compelled to make decisions that will affect the rest of his life, fully aware that something is not only amiss in the valley, but also at the great Tucker Orthopedic Institute. The Center of Excellence is book two of a trilogy following Doctor Philip Drummer through his surgical training. It is the sequel to Pennsylvania’s Finest, which chronicled Phil’s internship year. Dr. Michael Banas completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Scranton. He then attended the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine followed by an Orthopedic residency at the University of Rochester. His final year of surgical training took him to Los Angeles where he completed a Sports Medicine Fellowship at the Southern California Orthopedic Institute. Dr. Banas currently resides in Dallas, PA with his wife and six children. He specializes in Orthopedic Surgery and Sports Medicine.
