About us

This is a book written to buyers and sellers of real estate. The author, Charles E. Marunde, J.D., is an expert real estate attorney and real estate broker. The book helps people make good decisions in real estate.

What's your vision?

I need a cover for my 6x9 paperback book (and ebook), which is titled, "Buying and Selling Real Estate in the Rain Shadow", and since the book is all about real estate, I need a cover that shows real estate, maybe a home, maybe a beautiful background, but I'm looking for a stunning cover, perhaps a combination of images, something beautiful and with rich colors, there could be a husband/wife in there somewhere, but not required.

The Brief

I'm struggling to describe what I want, but since this is a book about real estate, and since I want something classy, colorful and beautiful, I hope that helps. The title is "Buying and Selling Real Estate in the Rain Shadow" and the author is "Charles E. Marunde, J.D." The Rain Shadow refers to Sequim, WA, which has a weather pattern called the rain shadow or blue hole, because it rains 1/3rd of the surrounding areas.

This design was a layout proposal and was never published. It was created for a non-fiction eBook that takes a look at jobs in a totally new way. It is aimed at people that see their dream work as being completely unrelated to a location, an office or a cubicle farm. The client had a simple requirement: a title and an inspiring graphic. He wanted the cover to scream “read me if working from anywhere is your goal!” In order to achieve this purpose, I’ve chosen a particular stock illustration as the central part of the design, not only for the vibrant colors, but also because it gives a very informal appearance. This can lead to attract the attention of a specific audience that identifies itself with the theme of this book.
