What to Do When the Blessings Stop
Lessons from Haggai
This nonfiction piece is aimed at Bible-believing Christians. It outlines a spiritual condition in which God sends famine—severe lack and frustration in every area—into a person’s life in order to get a disobedient believer to make an 180-degree turn in the way he/she is walking. The book describes: 1) how to recognize famine in your life; 2) outlines multiple instances in the Bible of how God used famine to change believer’s steps; 3) outlines what you must do now, in modern times, to break the curse of famine off your life.
I am looking for a cover that is not just titles. I prefer graphics, particularly something that evokes emotion. Abject pain. Grief. Ideally, a simple graphic—not a busy front cover. It should be contemporary; Bible pictures are not desired. Tip: The theme of severe lack runs through the book. Severe frustration is another theme addressed in the book.
How do you counsel the Christian who never succeeds? Who loses home, business, family? Do you tell him to pray more? Study more? Keep up the positive confession? Is God angry? What hope do you offer? Or is this person you? Do you look back and remember a time, unlike now, when God’s blessings were a daily experience? Have you endured so many calamities that it seems as if an unseen force is arrayed against you, opposing you at every turn? Your problem may be famine, a spiritual rod God uses to correct. Here’s what to do about it.
