A dilapidated red barn is a key element. Summary: Tragedy strikes the lives of two children in 1968. A house fire kills Sam’s father and brother. Three weeks later, Sam’s mother disappears and Sam must grow up with strict grandparents. Mason’s mother and sister die in a fiery automobile accident. Mason’s father moves them to a new city in Iowa to forget about the life they left behind. Twelve years later, Mason receives mysterious notes and phone calls about his past. Mason and Sam set out on separate quests to determine who is telling the truth, who is keeping secrets, and who must die. Reviews: This was a great read! Less like puzzle pieces, the pages in this book were more like onion layers being peeled back to reveal the complete story. There was enough intrigue and discovery to make the book “a page turner.” The story doesn’t disappoint. – Laura Gentry I found this book to be the classic “page-turner” and really had me guessing to the very end. I didn’t want to put it down – Tony King I loved this book! It kept me guessing right from the beginning. A fast, easy read with a great twist of an ending! I’d recommend this book to anyone who likes a mystery. – Kathy Goode Additional information on back cover: Cover Design: (TBD) Cover Photograph: (TBD) Author Photograph: Gary Campbell TheNancyWay.com SecretsCanBeDeadly.com
