Lila did an amazing job! She took my vision and suggestions and came up with the perfect design and I am so pleased with the outcome and have received so many compliments on my book cover. Thank you!!!
Dalim was wonderful to work with. In the final stage of the contest, I had 3 designers whose work I liked, each one of them working with a quite similar design, but none of them feeling magic. Then, at the last moment, Dalim sailed in with Gold Ink in the title and that was what did it! The image truly clicked. She was very timely about her communication and willing to make whatever changes were desired. My only recommendation was that she let people know she is a woman. Somehow, once I found that out, I felt even happier to have chosen her.

I am looking for a book cover for my 1st book entitled "Getting Past the Ugly through The Beauty of Self Love: 30 Devotions for Higher Self Esteem." This is a book for women working to find the beauty within themselves. It offers words of encouragement, inspiration and love. I would like the book to be warm and inviting with vivid colors. Some of the colors I like are bright colors such as fuchsia pink, yellow, orange, soft red, green, etc.
I thought perhaps a picture of a broken mirror, and/or a heart and/or flower pedals with a mosaic pattern could be useful for imagery. I want to the cover to some how show/resemble a transformation process of being a broken person to becoming a whole person through the imagery. I don't want the cover to be too busy. Simple/Clean is good but I'm opened to your creative impression and expertise. I've attached a picture of a broken hand held mirror to help give you some ideas.
In regards to the title, I would like "Getting Past the Ugly" to stand out the most followed by The Beauty of Self Love. (Through) should be by itself with the smallest font.
I have info to place on the back cover along with my author picture and barcode which I will post later.
