Steven Shuel is a Chiropractor with 35 years of experience in the massage and bodywork field. He is the founder and CEO of Oak Haven Massage with five offices in San Antonio and Austin TX. A key component of the Oak Haven culture is constant and never-ending improvement. Oak Haven has over 300 hours of training each year in its onsite facility. Dr. Shuel lives in Austin TX with his wife Kathleen and dog Zoe.
Path to Therapeutic Specialist The Therapeutic Specialist Program is a series of classes and training that allows a team member at Oak Haven Massage to receive the designation of Therapeutic Specialist. When Oak Haven customers call and ask for qualified therapists to work on specific problems, headache, back pain, carpal tunnel, etc. We will give first priority to therapeutic specialists. This is an excellent way to develop your therapeutic practice and increase your request rate. This document will list all of the training and classes that should be taken. It will also list a series of skills you will need to develop, including the intake, taking proper treatment notes, and setting up a treatment program.
