Salud, Mi Familia
Jacob Hollabaugh is an action movie enthusiast whose perfect heist team would be made up of: Bodhi from Point Break (Leader), Baby from Baby Driver (Driver), Letty and Gisele from various Fast and Furious movies (Do-It-All Utility), and Jem from The Town (The One That’ll Get It On). He is also the author of Our Downward Spiral: How a Culture of Outrage Defines and Divides Us, available on Amazon. He resides in Chicago, IL with his wonderful partner, Dorothy, and the world’s actual best cat, Jim.
This book is a love letter to the Fast and Furious franchise. If you love, or even like, any or all of the Fast and Furious films, then you are going to like, or even love, this book. I promise. What you’ll find inside are 19 chapters of deeply detailed appreciation. Topics covered include: * What makes each of the nine films uniquely great. * The best street races in franchise history. * Brian and Dom’s relationship. * The best heists in franchise history. * How much did Point Break play a part in the origin of the franchise. * The best fights in franchise history. * Is Fast and Furious the greatest action franchise ever? * The best villains in franchise history.
Fans of the "Fast and Furious" movie franchise. These movies are consumed by a massive global audience, ranging in age and backgrounds. They like over the top action and loud, expressive cars and people.
Book cover type
1. Title and subtitle in top third, author name at the bottom. Font for title similar to the font used for the Fast and Furious movie posters (see attachment #1). I'd like the format to be "Salud, Mi" on top of "Familia" with the S in Salud being slightly to the left of the F in familia below it, and the word "mi" about two thirds or half of the size of the other two words (similar to how in attachment #1 "of the" are smaller than the other words. 2. A car or possibly multiple cars should be used. The three possible cars to style after are shown in attachments #2, #3, #4. You'll need to draw/recreate these cars, not just use the attached image as I don't think I'm able to use those actual images. (You can also google "Brian's Skyline", "Brian's Supra", or "Dom's Charger" to see dozens of pictures of these three cars.) 3. I CAN NOT use actual images of the actors/characters. If they are included it has to be a drawing/graphic design of them. Probably easiest to not have any of them present but if you think it could look great with your design then go for it (possible images to model after are attachments #7, #8) 4. No black background. Los Angeles skyline is one possible background image. Maybe silhouettes of Dom and Brian but I can't picture exactly how I'd like that so can't really give more direction yet. 5. Back cover should include the author bio and the book description blurb from earlier in this briefing. 6. There is one logo attached that was something a friend mocked up in a matter of minutes so I could have something on social pages for now. It is the extreme simple version of what I'd want, but gives you some sense of vibe and direction (attachment #5). I don't want this image used on the book, this is just for inspiration purposes. 6. Mood should be loud, bright contrasting colors.
