The book is a picture story written in rhyme.
It is a funny, light-hearted story about a cow who gets bored with life as a cow and so tries to live as a sheep, a pig and finally a chicken, before realising that life as a cow is great after all.
The cow is called Hilda and is a brown spotty cow.
It is meant to be enjoyed by adults (reading it to children) as well as children. It is aimed at boys and girls (2-6 years old).
The last para is nostalgic and sentimental but the rest of the book is funny.
The cow is a comical slightly goofy character.
When it tries to be a sheep, the cow wears a white curly wig.
When it tries to be a pig, it is painted pink with a piece of string for a tail.
When it tries to be a chicken it has stuck feathers on that it found lying around on the farm
The whole story can be sent if that would help (783 words).
Eventually I want the whole book illustrated.
