I believe there is genius in modeling what is proven to work, yet finding unique ways to make it your own. The design must quietly yet unapologetically suggest Best-seller. The key aesthetics are credibility, celebrity, authority, and likeability. The design has to be compelling enough that someone would want to read it even if they hadn’t ever heard of me before. Harnessing these intangibles is what will separate YOU from your competitors. BACK COVER: I will have a short blurb and three (3) testimonials. For now, use Lorem Ipsum. My primary focus is currently on the front cover. As soon as the contest ends, I will be ready to supply the content for the back. DESIGNS I LIKE: Please research the following—Chris Powell (Choose More, Lose More), Jillian Michaels (Unlimited), Dr Phil McGraw (Life Code). All of these covers stand out on a bookshelf or on a crowded table of books. They do a great job of mixing a “hero shot” of the author and a boldly-displayed title. BOOK CONCEPT: This book is about lame excuses. We often find ourselves getting caught up in our own stories about why things can’t happen because of past shortcomings, a lack of resources, or sheer self-doubt. This book provides unique, fun, and practical steps for getting reconnecting with our confidence, regaining our swagger through winning small victories, and reengaging in playing bigger in our careers and our lives. KEY FEATURES: Emphasis on the word CAN in “It CAN Be Done” so it reads correctly. The message is that it CAN be done vs. I’ll try or It Can NOT happen. FILE TYPE(S) REQUIRED: I will be working with people with varying requirements. Thus, I need the finished file saved in multiple formats (sorry for being a pain): one (1) Hi-res jpg and pdf of the flat cover front and back, two (2) angles of a jpg 3D cover, one (1) png file with a clear background, one (1) vector vile with a clear background, InDesign raw file.

The winner of this contest, assuming that I love the design and we work well together, will be virtually guaranteed the 2nd project. The design won't change much other than the title and subtitle.
