Order of the Nine Seals
Alex Polak is a qualified doctor who lives and works in Yorkshire. He went to Harrow School and then Leeds University where he studied medicine. He lives with his loving and supportive wife Melanie, her mother and their two cats, Samson and Delilah. Alex has practiced GKR karate and is a licensed instructor. He enjoys reading, watching films and playing computer games on several platforms, as well as swimming and cycling. He loves cooking – and eating! – and he and his wife spend much of their time together in the kitchen. He has always been an avid reader, even as a child, and has read everything from comic books to Tolkien, Douglas Adams to Tom Clancy. Over the last few years he focused more on urban fantasy, eventually finding the books of Shayne Silvers and becoming deeply involved in his Facebook fan group. Alex finally met Shayne in 2019 at Shayne’s ‘Friendsgiving’ event, and upon returning to the UK became inspired to try his hand at writing his own book.
Gavan Maddox returned from his hunt for the Veil with his magick unlocked and an empty box. He knows the mysterious organization that sent him to find the Veil will be disappointed, and he’s keen to hide the truth from them—that the Veil gifted its extensive power to him. He subdues his magick when he meets again with the lovely Angelica, the emissary for the unknown group. Despite his efforts to hide his strength, the group suspects he has great abilities and now they want something from him. When Angelica goes missing, Gavan knows it was his refusal to assist the group’s leader that put her in danger. Calling upon old acquaintances and new allies, Gavan uncovers the group’s headquarters and mounts a rescue mission, putting his magick at risk of manipulation by the organization. Their underground headquarters contain innumerable surprises for Gavan. It soon becomes clear that the Order of the Nine Seals has far bigger plans than kidnapping and Gavan is but one piece in their 200-year-old plot.

Book cover type
The idea I'd had for the cover was a pair of black handcuffs with glowing orange magickal symbols all over them, resting on a stone floor. Alternatives would be: Bolton Castle A stone chapel altar A stone staircase down into a corridor with doors leading off. Awesome, I thought the single image idea was good, like the first one. Black cover like the first, but this time orange lighting not yello. Next book will be red, ghen purple, etc. So when they are lined up on a shelf there is a gradual colour gradation moving along the story arc.
Every design category has flexible pricing for all budgets. Book cover starts at $299.
