The Reinvention Sprint - The Fast Track Method To Rethink and Rebuild Business
Innovation expert Nils Vesk is the founder of the innovation agency Ideas with Legs. Nils works with top companies around the world to help them invent game-changing products and services. He is the author of several books, including Innovation Archetypes and Ideas with Legs.
This is my fourth book which aims to help people to pivot and reinvent their business quickly. A few years back I realised that that there was a subtle but noticeable difference in organisations who were totally committed to innovation versus those that were interested in innovation. The insight I had, was that organisations that were interested in innovation but weren’t committed to innovation were paralysed by risk. Organisations were happy to have the results of successful innovation but not with any risk. I had to reinvent how I was addressing this risk and communicating the concept of innovation better. Funnily enough, the concept I kept coming across was reinvention. Reinvention conveys the idea that ‘we’ve done this before and we can do it again’, yet there’s still an element of fresh invention in there too. With ‘Reinvention’ as the overarching concept, I went to work revisiting what organisations needed to do to lead the market with minimal risk. One of the big areas that I focussed on was in rethinking how people could validate which problems needed solving, as well as validating whether the market was willing to pay for it. I also revisited how to validate subsequent solutions to these problems without spending hundreds of thousands of dollars, but rather spending just a hundred dollars or so.
I’d love to think that this book is for everyone. It’s not. It’s for the change maker in an organisation, the leader spearheading innovation, the small business owner who needs a rapid turn around. Ager range from 28-50, male and female. Readers would be most; like;y based in major USA, UK and English speaking cities.
Book cover type
Other color requirements
The core color I would like for this book cover is The hexadecimal color #ffd400 has RGB values of R:255, G:212, B:0 and CMYK values of C:0, M:0.17, Y:1, K:0.
Book size is: Portrait book cover size 6” x 9” (15.24 x 22.86 cm) spine width 0.63” (1.6cm) Also, standard appropriate bleed and crop marks I'm looking for an innovative feel but something that won't date so that means a more modern future looking type font. Because the title has the word Reinvention which is a long word I'm thinking a more narrow font. I want the feeling of speed as in a sprint being conveyed. I'd rather steer clear of stock photos and focus on good typography and perhaps a timeless icon. Colours - I want the main colour to be the yellow I specified and the other colours are white, black and any gray that works.
What to avoid
Avoid having too much happening - so no busy feel No patterns No stock photos - but a good icon acceptable
