The Shy Guy's Guide To Travelling - [Subtitle]: Overcome Your Fears and See The World
James Smith - a writer, film-maker, photographer, world traveller, cineaste and would-be political philosopher from Cambridgeshire, UK. He is currently living and working in New Zealand.
'I don’t have enough money to travel' 'I want to see the world, but I don’t feel confident enough' 'What will people think?' 'I don’t even know where to start' If this sounds like you, read on. Travelling is a brilliant way to gain new experiences, grow as a person and even advance your career. Modern society makes it easier than ever for those with itchy feet to satisfy their wanderlust. This book is for those who yearn to see more of the world, but feel like something is holding them back. Drawing on his own experiences, plus the advice of eminent travel writers and entrepreneurs, James Smith shows us how travelling can be an even better investment than you thought possible. You’ll learn how to overcome the obstacles, real or imagined, for a freer and more fulfilling life as a citizen of the world.
I'm aiming this book at young people (18-25), male and female, perhaps recent graduates of high school or college, who have thought about travelling, who are otherwise looking for ideas about what direction to take their lives.
This is fundamentally meant to be an inspiring book, so the cover should be inspiring too. I'm imagining a bold cover, with the centre of attention being in the middle, including the title and subtitle. And it ought to be bright, connoting a 'bright' future. Go wild and creative with the artwork/imagery. Clean and sophisticated. I don't mind if you use stock images, provided they are of good quality and don't look fake.
What to avoid
