You Can Learn to Fly, and Become a Pilot! Can’t You?
I am a professional corporate pilot with nearly 20 years of background in aviation. Originally from Finland, studied and lived 7 years in the United States, and last 11 years I have lived and worked in China. I worked several years as a flight instructor before and in my previous job, I was the chief flight instructor of a major government-owned flight academy in China.
My first book in Pilot Career Series will help the readers to determine whether a professional pilot career is a good fit for them. The book explains the benefits and downsides of a pilot career, how to choose a flight school, how to finance flight training, medical requirements for pilots, and what certificates and ratings are required for someone aspiring to be a professional pilot.
Young men and women who are interested in a pilot career. Mostly geared for an audience in the United States, but is also helpful for international audience, especially those wanting to study in the US.
I am looking for a fairly clean and simple cover. Many "become a pilot" books have images of pilots and jets and seem a bit messy. I am looking to start a series of books. I hope to use the same cover in the other books in the series with some minor changes to the title, or perhaps by changing the background color. I am open for suggestions about the title and subtitle also... Anyway, I'm looking for a cover that stands out from the other aviation books, and that will sell more books!

It all began with a design brief.

Designers across the globe delivered design magic.
vturpeinen collaborated with designers to refine their ideas
When design entries come in, you can rate them so designers know what you’re looking for in your logo design.
99designs has great collaboration tools so you can pinpoint and capture your ideas
And then… they selected a winner!
I was very happy with the whole 99designs competition. It was surprising to receive so many designs from many talented designers. Also, it was very helpful to create polls directly from the website and share them on Facebook and Twitter. My chosen designer, Persistence, provided me with many different designs and was very responsive to any changes I wanted to do. Since the beginning, he/she provided me with the best designs that were constantly on top of my polls. I wish good luck to the designer in future contests as Persistence certainly deserves to win!
Along the way, they met lots of talented designers…
We think contests are a super fun way to get design.
