Southie (Tagline: Fight hard. Love hard. Risk everything.)
I'm from a small rural town in North Carolina where I live with my husband, William, and my two boys, Micah and Israel. When not writing, I'm an avid reader and researcher of African American and Native American families in NC, SC, and VA. I hold a BA in History with a concentration in American History as well as a MA in History with a concentration in Public History, and I continue to pursue my interest in African American and Native American history. I dedicate all that I do to my husband, my biggest supporter, and my sons.
Liam “Southie” Daugherty grew up in the Irish working-class neighborhood of South Boston, Massachusetts, also known as Southie. He didn’t have the best outlook on life or love, but he was good at one thing: fighting. Liam takes a job as an "Enforcer" for the head of the Irish mob, and when he arrives at legendary boxer, Roland Jennings' gym to collect a payment, Roland doesn't have the funds. Instead of carrying out the death sentence as requested, Liam offers Roland a proposition: he'll consider Roland's debt repaid if he trains him as a professional boxer. Roland agrees under one condition: Liam must stay away from Roland's daughter, Camilla.
Adults (18+); primarily female; USA, UK, Aus, Can.
