Rafael is an amazing designer. And it wasn't an easy task I asked. He was incredibly responsive and I can't recommend him highly enough. He really got my vision and transformed it into the most incredible book cover.
Once again, Venanzio is amazing, brilliant, and delivers quickly.
Fabulous work and responsiveness!
Needed an ebook cover for a christmas fairy tale for my kids. Rigoletto produced great initial designs, and incorporated my changes, with her own ideas, quickly and creatively. Fantastic work and huge thanks.
How danielpisani12 started their book cover journey
Nü Rhetoric: The Indispensable Guide to Critical Thinking, Clear Communication, and Contributing to the Great Conversation of the 21st Century - Book I – Human Nature, Clear Communication, and Propaganda
Daniel A. Amerson
I'm 25 years old, live in Canada, have a Bachelor's degree in Nutrition Sciences, and I'm interested in politics for a different perspective than most people. Also, outside of Kindle books, I will be a first time published author will this book. (This is not going on the cover)
Nü Rhetoric (New Rhetoric) is a book series that focuses on the underlying principles of political discussions. The political world has shifted, and people are anxious and looking for answers. This book (book 1) focuses on a few fields of study; economics, anthropology, theology, psychology, linguistics, grammar, and propaganda, but presented in a cohesive, interesting and maybe even fun way.
This book is for intelligent politically inclined young adults aged 18 to 25, who are frustrated with the lack of useful information for having meaningful political discussions, and who want more information to spot and thwart manipulative people in debates. This audience will probably have higher amounts of males. This is also aimed to people in Western countries (USA, Canada, and Western Europe).
Book cover type
Probably the most similar to what I would like. It's rugged and textured. It looks like what I would like the back to look like.
A little bare for my liking, but it's got a cool design
It's good a manuscript feel to it.
This is a design feature that I think could cover the book cover. Once would be great, but if you can make it work with more than one, go for it.
What colors do you want to see in your design?
Other color requirements
There would be two color palettes; a more formal traditional palette on the cover, and a vibrant and colorful palette that's underneath (bright blues and purples?). I'd like a designer to take these ideas and run with them
My book's text font is 'Minion Pro'; it's professional, but not overly formal. I want any new reader holding the book to feel like they're about to learn the answers to some important questions that's been bothering them for a while (and I think that it does). It should feel like the answers involve looking past at our past; its respectful of the past and doesn't ignore it. My book will be published in 8.5' x 5.5' with spine for 320-340 pages (estimate).
What to avoid
Don't use stock images or people. Again, don't be too tacky. The book feature as the extra file ('General Linguistics' book) is an idea, but don't use fancy fonts.
