What's your vision?
The name of the series: The Ammolite Adventures. The series name will be bigger than the name of the book: Bluestone, Volume One. Author C. E. Johnson. I need it for a kindle book and paperback (probably around 8 x 5.5in) Cover: Emily under several live oak trees on a rocky path above a lake/river, flowers on the sides of the path - mainly bluebonnets, and any other texas wildflowers. Holds a bluestone staff. Her mind-linked Doberman is somewhere next to her - guarding her, impressive. Emily is a beautiful half elf bad A. Skilled at all sports – so athletic, lithe (Kate Beckinsale-ish). She is around 12 – 13 years old in the book, a little above average height, with forest green eyes. I think she would look cool standing sideways like in the attached picture, with just a hint of her pointed ear poking out of her hair, but not so much ear as in the picture I attached, just a glimpse, but present. Her face I picture like the individual picture I attached of a ranger elf I found on the internet, not as harsh as the elf turned sideways under the tree. Hair – brown – whatever you think maybe blown by the wind, a little longer than shoulder length but not too long. She should be in Earth clothes, I'm not positive what clothing, but reality clothes from Earth, impressive looking though, classy or athletic, not childish. (She is from Austin Texas, but finds a portal to another world.) She is by a few big live oak trees with bluebonnets below her. I like her on a path on a hillside above a long river/lake which is next to her – you can see the hint of Lake Austin in my real picture I added – but it needs to be a little bigger than the faint hint I used. She should be on a rocky/caliche path. It is a teen/young adult book, so a little brighter than the picture I put of the Elf and tree. She has a massive Doberman with her. The largest in the state, so over 120 lbs, but not as massive as the tiger in the picture I added. The Doberman has floppy ears – I added a picture, and a docked tail. Strong, protective, impressive. Instead of a bow as in this picture, Emily holds a bluestone staff. Here is a description from the book: Emily held a bluestone staff, which felt perfectly balanced as she twirled it in the center of the room. Blue light came from the top and the bottom of the staff. She ran her hand along the staff, and it was rough to her touch. She realized there were scores of carvings along the length of the bluestone … of magicians casting spells. In each carving, the figure carried a staff—likely this staff. Each was accompanied by an animal, a bondsmate. Emily looked along the carving until she came near to the bottom, and the last carving was of a girl. She looked closer and realized the carving was of herself, turned sideways, holding the staff next to a massive Doberman with floppy ears. She was beneath a great oak tree, with bluebonnets scattered by her feet. Just above her image was a carving of Dr. D, with an otter on his shoulder. On the back cover I need a symbol of a dragon on top of 6 colored stones – a bluestone, redstone, greenstone, blackstone, Silverstone, goldstone – anything cool and creative that I will again use on each of six books. Here is the blurb for the back: What if you were raised on Earth, believing that all that you've known is all there is, and then, that simple existence is suddenly called into question? For twelve-year-old Emily Whayne, that's exactly what has happened. When her godfather, a renowned doctor, informs her that she comes from another world, she must choose to believe his intriguing tale or sit back and watch as he is taken into custody by the government's brazen paramilitary team. Will she journey to a parallel world that she knows nothing of to sharpen her magical powers or will she choose the only world she's ever known and deal with what could be dire consequences?
