Winner and runners-up in the Canada’s 150th birthday logo community contest

Kelly Inglis

When the Canadian government unveiled 5 potential logo designs for Canada’s 150th birthday that failed to excite, we thought we’d extend a challenge to our community to see what 99designers could come up. The results, as usual, were fantastic. With over 2600 designs entered into our community contest by designers from all over the world, it was no simple task choosing our final 8, let alone a winner.

Check out the winner as well and runners-up, and thanks to everyone who participated!

Winning design

150th Canadian birthday logo by JacklNicholls04

Congratulations JacklNicholls04! This Canadian designer’s cleanly executed, clever incorporation of Canada’s national symbols impressed us all. Here’s the designer’s explanation:

“This design incorporates the Canada Goose with the maple leaf in the wings. The purpose is to show Canada as a dynamic country that has been soaring to great heights in the last 150 years.”
