The American Physical Society publishes scholarly journals containing reports on research in physics. We have a new, on-line only physics journal called Physical Review X or PRX (http://prx.aps.org/).PRX is a new journal of the time-tested and trusted Physical Review brand; publishing original, high quality research, with broad coverage, interdisciplinary thrust, and global, free distribution. Serious, academic venture by a not-for-profit organization, not a flashy commercial product. The ad should convey the serious, thoughtful nature of the new journal and its publisher. No animations.
What inspires you and how do you envision the design for your business?
We need an advertising design to adapt into several online banner formats. Image(s) should be visually striking and expressive, yet consistent with the scholarly nature of the journal. Royalty-free photographic or graphic image or images are required and should suggest excellence, quality, and/or physics. Color scheme should be tones of blue, white, and black with one or several touches of red or warm magenta.
