poundbangsplat got their new app by running a design contest:
Awesome App design wanted for JobPatrols.com
Check out poundbangsplat's App contest…
Job Patrols is an app that allows anyone to post job listings, whether it be a sign out front of a building that they tag with a photo and location to being a company who wants to hire employees. Unlike the “big” sites it is very local and user centric, allowing a drilling down of local jobs unprecendented. The UI should be very cool and easy to interact with as a map and list, clean and pleasing to the eyes. Users can sign in to their account to post jobs as well as manage favorite jobs they have and apply for them instantly. For the job posting they have the option to post image(s) for users to see either of the Help WANTED sign of the building itself where the job is being offered. They can favorite jobs on a map or list view. Any and all ideas to help improve this concept are welcome!
What's your vision?
Main Menu: Shows a map with search field as well as location with option to select current location. Also needs to have a selector for country since we have multiple country options. Users can select from map or list view so a way to switch back and forth. There is also a favorites option to favorite a job. A post area where users can post an job and attach/capture a photo of the job location/job help sign. Login section where users can login and manage their job postings as well as their favorite jobs. There is also a cool option to take photos of the actual job location or job posting signage.
This will be a Landscape version for IPAD but would be cool to be able to scale somehow to look good on iPhone screens. Vector designs would be ideal for scalability if possible.
