UPDATE 1: I've added some more concept art I like including final fantasy characters, jedi knights and sith as well as metal gear solid characters UPDATE 2: Guys it's fine if you want to do concept art but I need the final deliverable to be a 3d model In terms of the balance between realism and anime think 60-70 percent realism 30-40 percent anime. Think Final Fantasy characters! Think universe for this game is dark, bright colors are not really ideal except for lights or lasers. *YOU ARE NOT REQUIRED TO DO ANY SOUNDS FOR THIS PROJECT JUST THE CHARACTER DESIGN* In the video reference when I mention sound or music it is towards the sound and music people I hired. Design a base character model for an NFT project. Layers will be added on and removed when we run the base model through our program that randomizes layers. I have provided a large number of character concepts as well as some stasis pod concept art to give you an idea of what I require. The universe this character will be born into is a sci-fi like universe. To give you a short idea of the story and the environment I've provided this short synopsis and video. We've placed a placeholder model for now. STORY & CHARACTER BACKGROUND CONCEPT: The concept is that these are genetically modified humans on a distant planet years to lightyears away from earth they are being created to aid humanity in a war against aliens that standard normal unmodified humans are less effective against. (Think of the game Halo for inspiration and how Spartans differ from regular humans) These humans are being grown in a lab in an underground bunker or cave on that planet in secret and trained in a military facility. The player who is viewing his own consciousness is preparing to mint a key that allows them access into our world or universe and the ability to take over one of those genetically modified humans bodies through a neural link. The bodies are just shells for the players to assume if they pay to play the game (this gives them a place in the world of the story) The character you are designing is a genetically modified human sleeping in a stasis pod. You can change the hair color, eye color, and clothing however you see fit. To be honest I'd love to see anime inspiration in the character. Think things like red eyes purple eyes yellow eyes, bionic arms legs or eyes and colorful hair like red blue green pink white anything you can think of is fine the point is to convey these are more than just human they are modified to be better than human. Draw the characters without masks but feel free to include versions with a mask side by side as these characters will start off in basic clothing but we will add armor and space suits later on. You can add any unique traits or perks to the character you like from things like rabbit ears, technological items like holograms or projected terminals or gadgets, cat ears, cute accessories like crowns, weapons, masks, sunglasses, unique facial expressions, skin colors can be unique and alien in nature if you like, etc. You have creative freedom on the project. Since we will run each layer through a randomizer you can design these things however you see fit. In the character art you may notice some characters have digital halos above their heads I think that is so cool and would love to see what you guys can do with it I'll be available almost all day every day to help give you inspiration and guide you through the design process so don't be shy to ask for help. REMINDER: Please use the concept art i've provided as a resource for inspiration. And remember to watch the video I posted to understand the type of universe we are creating.
