What's your vision?
Hello everyone, we're super excited to start this adventure with you! On September 1st, we will receive the keys to our brand new office in Amsterdam. The office will be used as a software development center for our onsite teams receiving clients and organizing training. We need your help designing an office plan that makes the eyes of our employees and clients shine. Contractors are standing by! STYLE = URBAN & INDUSTRIAL We're in an old building in Amsterdam and would like to adapt the city's style to our office, like an urban and industrial look and feel. We want to work with industrial wood (strand board), industrial glass room divider, open ceiling, urban furniture, brick, and black painted walls: no shiny high gloss or neon lights. Here are some style examples: https://pin.it/5pZGP4i or https://pin.it/4u5N0jh or https://pin.it/4hQQu94 or https://pin.it/3FPEH1G or https://pin.it/3Vl6pEd DECORATION = URBAN & GEEKY We would love to have the walls filled with geeky picture frames like you can see in the picture below — graffiti on the walls and many plants. A pinball machine or football table would work perfectly with the decoration. Maybe even add some strange wallpaper that would set a room apart. https://pin.it/78TV9OZ and https://pin.it/4wHxsW8 FURNITURE = MODERN & URBAN We want modern desks like this for the workstation: https://pin.it/10FUA5z - no custom-made desks, just simple workstations. The rest of the furniture, for example, in the pantry, may look Urban like this: https://pin.it/6zX9Cmp and https://pin.it/4ltwBaO LAYOUT The building is currently a hair salon, so everything will be removed and renovated to our liking. Only the restrooms will have to stay at the same place because of the piping, and we prefer to keep the kitchen (the one near the restrooms) in the same position as well but not required. Front Section: The front section will be used in a breakroom, lunchroom, place to receive guests, and hang out with colleagues. Here, we need a bar or tables to have lunch, access the kitchen, and maybe play a game (pinball, table football, or PlayStation). https://pin.it/3E2c3gQ and https://pin.it/1mV6egb and https://pin.it/1mV6egb and https://pin.it/3PHJKF2 Middle Section: The middle section with the skylight will have the working station. This section should be separated from the front area to reduce noise. An industrial-looking glass room divider is what I have in mind to separate the spaces. This area should fit 12 working stations (not facing the wall) and at least two meeting booths, although the meeting pods may also be located in the front section. https://pin.it/35rrw3q and https://pin.it/15axJoA and https://pin.it/3xjisZ4 Back Section: We would like to have a meeting room seating at least 12 people in the back of the building. The walls can be removed to create this meeting room. The meeting room should have a glass wall so light can come in from the skylight, a TV and a whiteboard. On top of the meeting room will be a rooftop, so please make sure there is a small stair to access it. https://pin.it/4UK2b8w or https://pin.it/107LuVM or https://pin.it/1bdQ3EQ and https://pin.it/7KXk86c and https://pin.it/6aDNbmB These are the two floorplans that I have so far but I'm not fully satisfied with them and would you to improve them. 1. https://planner5d.com/v/?key=561f714122d1e3a6f5d9b6fa1415217f&viewMode=2d 2. https://planner5d.com/v/?key=f33fc7d424947129a5452100c59204eb&viewMode=2d SKYLIGHT & ROOFTOP As you can see in the pictures, there is a massive skylight in the middle section; this is currently 1187 x 326 cm but will be shorted to 800 x 326cm. The space without a skylight will be on the backside and used for rooftop seating, so we do need a (vertical/circle) stair or ladder to access it. The rooftop will be around 500 x 500 cm and located to the back of the room. https://pin.it/RkJ9MwC and https://pin.it/5IoezFA and https://pin.it/6MnSBJZ and https://pin.it/2r0HYZa Main requirements: - 10 to 12 comfortable working stations of at least 140CM wide, not facing the wall. - One large meeting room seating at least 12 people and should include a whiteboard and large television. - There should be at least two private soundproof office booths (office phone boots) for phone calls, with good air circulation. - Office pantry (break room), separated from the working area, seating at least eight people, including a coffee station & fridge, something to play, either a PlayStation or Pinball machine or table football. - Stair or ladder to the rooftop (located on top of the last 5 meters of the building). I suggest steep stairs or circle stairs. - Industrial style, lots of wood, glass room dividers, simple materials, good lighting, and sound/airflow. - Pinterest page for the mood board: https://nl.pinterest.com/edgarkraaikamp/sytac-office/
