We are designing a watch-like accessory that has the word "NOW" in bold digital letters illuminated on the watch face. The watch does not actually tell time. It contains an LED light source that emits light through the cut out "NOW" letters on the face. Other than that, the accessory has the basic form factor of a watch. The NOW letters are cut out to allow light through from the watch body and have a clear covering so that nothing can get into the watch body.
Design wise we are looking for a very slick, futuristic fashion forward concept. You can feel free to get creative with fun and funky directions as well. The thing to remember is that this is something that should be cool to wear at a music festival or night club. Or something a hip and fashionable person might wear on the streets of New York City.
The watch strap will most likely be some sort of silicon or rubber. The strap and body can be one piece, or the strap can be connected by a regular watch hinge, or the watch face can even be something interchangeable that you pop out of the strap and replace.
The "NOW" letters should be in a digital looking font (like you see on digital clocks).
The watch should look cool in the daylight with the letters clearly visible. This should be possible with the cut out letters because the interior of the watch space is dark. At night the watch lettering will illuminate when you push a button on the side of the watch body.
To clarify - the watch face is not a digital screen. The watch face has the NOW letters physically cut through the face in the shape of a digital font with an internal LED light source that shines through.
The watch should be big enough to contain a watch battery and LED light source, so roughly the size on a normal digital watch - although you can be creative if you want to go bigger or funkier.
The watch itself can be any color or combination of colors and ideally could be offered in a range of colors.
