Our brief is to design a silicone teether/training toothbrush for babies. It will be 12.5cm long and will be designed to resemble a small tree at one end, with a toothbrushing/gum massaging component (head) at the other end.
The toothbrush will also be accompanied by a small stand/base.
This product will be part of our Teething range which includes a Teething Gel and Gum & Tooth Wipes. Please see images below.

We are looking for a beautiful and iconic shape which is ergonomically and safety appropriate for a baby.
Simple, romantic silhouette, minimal, instantly recognizable.
Think happy/warm, not haunted house.
The top part of this toothbrush needs to look organic, and like a tree/branch with no leaves. The branches will need to be thick enough so that a baby cannot easily bite through the silicone, yet should still be in proportion to the trunk so it looks like a tree.
We have been working on a concept for some time, but the general form we have needs refinement. Images attached are of the design we have been working on, but the form of the branches are not satisfying our aesthetic.
1. Toothbrsh length: 12.5cm
2. Toothbrush End (with dimples) 25mm length; 15mm at widest point, 10mm at tip.
3. Neck (between safety shield and dimples: 4mm
4. Diameter of safety shield: 45mm
The 'handle' area needs to be suitable for a small hand to hold comfortably.
Safety Shield – the top surface of the safety shield needs to have embossed leaves/grass.
Colors: The silicone material can be opaque or translucent colors. Different examples would be great to see.
Base: ‘Flower Pot’
The brush should sit in the base 'flower pot' as in diagrams uploaded/ The base needs a hole in the bottom, for drainage/drying purposes. Base should have embossed logo as indicated. Please disregard the color of the base/brush - this has not been determined yet.
