Yep, I appreciate that Cathy. They won't award the prize unless mrpsycho98 nails the last few requests, but his design is pretty much the favourate, and pretty much complete too - I expect he'll be able to do the changes to the client's satisfaction.

Thanks very much to you, and everyone for their efforts in this contest - there were some other great entries, and a split decision between members of the team on this side. But in the end, mrpsycho98 gets the majority votes to put him in the top slot, and his is a fine design.

Agree with lazydisciple - layout is pretty much the same (but then there are only so many obvious options, aren't there?!), but the execution is a completely different style. And he's really pushed the boat out in showing my client how the rest of the site will look too, which no one else has done. I guess it's a case of listening carefully to the feedback we've been giving, and coming in there with a good design at the eleventh hour.

Anyway, I've had a review meeting with my client, and they have provisionally put mrpsycho98 in top favourate position, if we can sort out the images. His is the design that's really doing it for them - the other top few did come close, but weren't quite right for their perceived image. I will go through and provide further individual feedback now.

Hi everyone,

So, I've done all the individual feedback. I've also deselected all but the front-running designs. The winner won't definitely come from these remaining designers, but each of these designs has an element we really like.

Before I go into more detail, it's worth pointing out that nothing is absolutely hitting the spot at this stage - there are elements of many designs that we love, but no one design is doing it all right - the competition is open for these 5 to take, or for another to produce something that brings the elements together.

Anyway, these are the five front-runners, and a brief description of why they were picked (in alphabetical order!):

Datulakay: Really like the rounded buttons and the overall polish. Layout is a little over-bearing at the moment.
HybridVigor: Nice clean layout and images. Needs work on typography and finish.
Artimesia: Nice images and text area boundaries. Light and airy feel. Needs typographic and design refinement.
Wetworx: This colour palette is about right. However, it's overly heavy and dark, and very disorganised. Needs less use of the colour.
Bharce16: Nice clean layout and typography. Imagery needs work, as does colour scheme.
