Just wanted to thank you all again for participating - my Client has decided on #9 after all, but he would have been happy going with MANY of your designs as-is. I hope to have your talent at play in the next contest we open up, which won't be far away! Keep doing the great work that you're doing!! ;o) ~ Scott

Designers - please bear with me - my Client is struggling with the decision, but I hope to have one within a day or so. We *WILL* award a winner - it's just a matter of deciding who it is!! ;o) Thanks again ~ Scott

Comment from Client: "I really like number 1 and number 9. Both are visually superior and i personally like the layout and colours used. If i had to pick one i would pick number 9 becasue it's different than any other travel site i have seen, and for that alone would be an advantage."

And as for my own comment, I'm really blown away by #9 - always interesting when an entry comes along near the end, since I really like several of the other designs and would be happy using them, but the curvy lines and use of graphics in #9 give it a whole different feel. (Harder to update, I realize, but this will be a very static site). The one thing that i mentioned in my long comment above is that we'd rather not have the "book now" element, but my Client hasn't commented on that, so he may be relenting, considering the effectiveness of having an interactive piece in the top left corner of the site. So... that's our feedback, in case anyone else has thoughts! You all have done WONDERFUL jobs, and we deeply appreciate the time you've put in!!! ~ Scott

Folks - I know that each of us is proud of our work, and that we naturally feel we have something to offer that no one else does, so please stay focused on the design *elements* and their relevance, rather than the design *quality* (or lack thereof, in your opinion.) Kauzi, when you ask about "static vs. dynamic", there are two interpretations: (1) a database-driven site, which this will not be [therefore, 'static'], or (2) a site with movement - the small Flash slide show mentioned in the description will be the only movement [therefore, 'dynamic']. While some of you correctly pulled the "book now" element from the sample sites, we'd actually rather NOT have that on the home page, since it adds coding complexity. (It will be a link from a sub-page, directly to another Web site, using a referral code for commissions.) Note that the Client would prefer not to have a "left nav" (as 1,2,3,5, and 6 have), but graphical elements as www.TravelAndCruises.com has in its left and right columns. Thanks for your designs - I'm always amazed by the talents of this group!! ;o) ~ Scott

are you looking at a static site or a dynamic site?
Most of what is being submited seems to be based on pre-designed templates and standard web creator/studio templates.
