We have reviewed all of the entries and removed some that didn't meet the mark. We have made suggestions and comments to all the others and are reopening this contest until Friday 16 March at noon.

Hi All,
Thanks for your submission so far. A couple general observations of things that we're thinking now that we either didn't communicate well or weren't clear about ourselves in the initial design brief.
In terms of colors, we like the darker blues and would like to see those complemented with either a red or orange. The brownish color in the current logo doesn't seem to do a good job of being a complementary color to a full page design
The current site is pretty text heavy, and although there will continue to be a lot of content, we'd like some designs that incorporate some more photographs. Any general photograph will work for the mockup ... we can hit up a stock photo site for the final photographic elements.
Also, any ideas/designs that can tame some of the text would be good ... the long column of organization links, for example, probably needs to move into more of a multi-column format ... feel free to use dummy text.

I've started my design and decided to reread the brief.
By "conservative" in style, does this put the client against flags, red/white/blue colouring?
