****FINAL UPDATE BEFORE END**** I really feel terrible that I have not been able to provide the feedback that I was able to at the beginning of the contest. I'm going to provide some final hints to developers....
1. Graphical elements - Must make us say "Wow..." We need the design to be attractive. Incorporate the graphics, don't just place them.
2. Make it functional. Think as if you were our customer. We don't need all the text on the front page, subpages will provide details... tease me...
3. Professional but still Web 2.0ish... Icons are great, I really like the small ones, but they may not be necessary. Maybe as a rollover or next to text items...
4. Don't waste space, but don't crowd. Too much white space can be bad, but I don't want to feel overwhelmed.
There are some AMAZING designs on here and we are really struggling with this decision. It will take us some time to decide. There is STILL TIME LEFT!! WE HAVE NOT PICKED A WINNER!!

On the main page, I need an area for news, a link for our services, an introduction section, etc.
We had such great success here with our logo that we are looking to complete our design for our web page as well. We are a small industrial cage and rack washer company that services large pharmaceutical research facilities and hospitals. We work on very expensive, high-end machinery. We maintain, repair, and inspect the machinery and train the facility personnel on operations and maintenance.

One thing that I will admit off the bat is that we know NOTHING of web design and the intricacies of design. We’re relying on the experts to provide the beautiful designs that we see in the contests on 99designs.com!
The prize of $1200 is for the graphic design. We have specific requirements for the slicing and production of the website that may be beyond the range of many of the graphic designers here. A winning designer that has the skills required to take the .psd to a full operating site (to our specifications) will receive an additional $500!! (You will be required to show proof of talent in the form of completed sites)

- A main area for an introduction for our company, an area for recent news, an area that describes our services to link to other pages. We're open to suggestions for other items on the homepage, so please experiment!
- Use the colors from our logo, but also experiment with complimentary colors. We deal with water, so blues and greys are great.
- Web 2.0 style, but with a professional feel.
- Utilize icons in the design (Main Text Area). I use and like the look of Mac style software. Design me a site with a Mac influence.
- Utilize stock icons, pictures, etc. Ideas include anything medical research related (microscope, DNA, lab coat, white rats, etc), wrenches, water, blueprints, electrical diagrams, etc.
- CREATIVITY!!
- Designs that remind me of 1999. Stay away from all text. I understand we don't have any pictures, but boring designs will not win.
- Confusing designs.
