Thanks all for your excellent designs. We asked our customers and partners to vote on their favourite. As it turned out, even the least favourite design got 21% of the vote, so they were all very close, which made our decision a hard one. In the end we had to pick the winner based on the minor details. Thanks again and best of luck for your future design work.

It's getting towards the end of the contest and our time to review and give feedback is limited. There are some great designs here and some top new entries, but we will need to focus our time working with the top 3 or 4 designers for last minute refinements. These are the remaining rated and uneliminated designs. Given the time we would liked to have given all of you detailed feedback. There are designs we eliminated that could easily have passed and gone into our application. Thanks all for your hard work.

    > Would you accept EPS files?

Sure, anything we can use to turn the design into HTML really. E.g. the assets for rounded corners, background images etc.

As mentioned in the brief we would like to use the winning style elements across our application pages. This screenshot might help to show what the other existing pages look like:

    http://www.papercut.com/images/scre…nt-log.png

    Note that:
    * Most existing pages have a second row of navigation tabs so the design would need to accommodate these somehow (i.e. an optional section). Some designs have included the second row of tabs to show what they would look like - this is a good idea!
    * The "Actions" section appears on most (but not all) pages, and can have 1-6+ actions listed. The actions are specific to the page ("sub tab"). E.g. in the screenshot the actions are specific to "Printers -> Print Log" tab. They would be different on the "Charts" tab.
    * The existing "Actions" section has icons beside each item. We like these because they help to tie in common items across different pages.

    Hi Guys,

It's the weekend. I've provided some short comments on aspects of the designs I like. I'll reply more on Monday after we've sat and discussed aspects with the rest of our team.

    Great ideas so far.

Sorry, we can't blind the contest because this is our first contest. :( I hope you'd still be interested in participating.
