We'd like to thank everyone for their entries, and double thanks to all those who resubmitted.

There were really some great concepts here and it was a very hard decision to pick a winner.

manilahub had a great design that seemed tight, yet flexible. The color scheme helped win us over. The format was very close to what we laid out in our initial brief. We think this will be eye catching, yet still very readable.

I'm not sure if I should go into some of the other entries, but there really were some other great entries.

We liked some of the concepts of SebbDesign and Electrix, as well as some very clean layouts, like those from pryan_dawson.

narra was another one of our top choices. Simply great stuff.

Hi manray, sorry about the confusion.

Our intentions are to have two ads on the page. A leaderboard and 300x250. The extra green one currently on the site is temporary. Normally we'd pull down the other 300x250, but as that's our only other ad right now, we left it (since the green one is only for a few days).

We'd like to thank everyone for the submissions so far, some are very, very good.

Some general comments, including those left on some entries:
- We don't want any photos in the header. For a background, a simple gradient would be fine.
- We may have a leaderboard (728x90 ad) in the header, sorry for not mentioning that earlier.
- We're keeping much of our text-based site text-based. The menu options will change from time-to-time, and roldanh had the best concept of our menu so far.
- Please do not modify the logo or add anything to it.
- We want to have the post text on a white background.
- We like news sites. Some well-done tech blogs. [url="http://www.iht.com/"]IHT[/url], [url="http://webworkerdaily.com/"]WWD[/url]. So clean and easy to read, yet it doesn't look bland. As mentioned, our [url="http://www.hockeyfights.com"]other site[/url] works well too (note: normally not as sponsored).

Please keep these things, plus our [url="http://contests.sitepoint.com/contests/5009/brief"]original brief[/url] in mind.

Unfortunately a server move for another site went all crazy and we were distracted. I'm going to see if we can extend this by a little because of that.

We'll have the feedback up on each shortly and try and make a summary here of things we are/aren't looking for and what people made us realize we should have listed originally. Thanks to all for submitting entries so far.
