#22 and #21 Thank you for your submission; #21 has a nice layout and design, but the colors are too dark and we don't see any of the suggested colors. We do not feel as though this color scheme would work with our current design.
#12 Kim, we like your overall design, but we're still not satisfied with the separation of the three elements in the right side of the page; perhaps including a small green border that would be tasteful to the design. Looking at every element, there seems to be the same pattern - where everything is almost blending together, and there is no differentiation between each container. We would also very much like some more "flare" in the navigation (the left side navigation) to allow for more of an eye-catching design.
I did not complete my comment in the previous one and it came out incorretly
#2 KimKiyaa, you have the best design so far, however, the way the bars end with the smudgeness does not work for us. However, once again your news/links design is bar far the best. However, the background is still to dark, elements are still hard to tell apart and right navigation needs some flare.
We sincerely appreciate all the work you designers are putting into this.
We want all the designers to keep in mind that there are aspects we like from all the different submissions, and we do promote that you get inspired by aspects of the different submissions. However, we do not encourage or endorse the straight out copy and past of anyone's work.
#6 to #10 Lukestar, thank you for all your hard work, however, your content design is not working with what we imagine the site to look like. The right navigation is to bulky, and the orange is to overwhelming. Please review other works to see what we like about them to get a better understanding of what we want.

#8 and #9 design arc, thank you for your submission, based on the evidence provided we had to eliminate your design. We encourage you to change that gradient design and resubmit. However, please keep in mind, we do not want a dark design. if you read the contest description you will see it is only one of the two things we do not want.
Once again we strongly encourage all the designers to read what we have said so far, and get inspired by what we like in all the designs and try to bring it all together without straight out copying and pasting any work.
I spent a good amount of time trying to get the "crystal part right" and to copy to copy and paste my work is really disrespectful. You can see the size is exactly the same, and the only difference is he darkened it a little. I have reported it to 99designs, and I hope that the ASKMA takes appropriate action and disqualifies the design.
Also, I will have another version in for you soon.
#5 Lukestar Great job with the background we love it, and we also love the enclosure of the content looks very nice. The way how the different elements can be distinguished is also very nice.
Here is were we stand so far.
We really like the background, main enclosure and the vivid separation of elements in #5, as far as the content it self goes, we like the design of #1, especially the news/links submitted by the users and the top navigation.
#3 Lukestar thank you for your submission, we like the use of color and the background style, however the design is a little too ordinary for us. We are looking for something a little bit more eye catching and high tech looking.
#2 Kim, your second submission uses the right shade of gray, however we still like there to be a more vivid separation between the different sections, like enclosed in their own "box". Can you make the left navigation a little more interesting? Something original that would still maintain the integrity of it being a navigation while introduce a design that is just new and interesting.
For the news/links submission the orange button submit looked much better, users can also choose between Hot list and New List via links.
The site news elements show much less, just a headline. However should not look like the news/site submitted by users.
#1 Again, great job on this submission - we just have a couple of comments on this version. The main gray you used is too dark, we would like something a few shades lighter and with a gradient. We very much like how the top navigation looks, but it seems to be too "bold," maybe a decrease in height to stay uniform to the initial top bar, while maintaining the curved style. Also, we like the the News/Links, but the "Site News," the right, and left sides are a bit plain right now. There could also be a bit more vertical spacing between each individual element on the right side or another way to distinguish between the three elements. Please try to use hints of green throughout the design.
#1 Kim thanks, the gray you are using is too dark. we like how you used the orange in the text. we would like to see hints of green in there with a gradient background. Also keep in mind we are also interested in seeing a crystal style design with maybe some transparency.

#20 John, thank you for the submissions; we feel the concepts and imagery you have presented does not target the correct audience we're looking at.
Please wait for my entry

Arc Design downright copy and pasted some of my design, and here is the proof:

no worries, have it to you in a few minutes!
hi, what do you mean by the content? The content available on the page?

We would really like to see a hybrid of the two.

KimKiyaa, there is currently no open version of the site available, it is still in closed beta testing.
Yes, no coding is required.
I am very interested in this contest. You only require the PSDs correct?
Also, do you happen to have any examples of sites you like and/or ones that have elements that you'd like to see in your site?
