When Im saying the home page will look like SlickDeals.net I mean just the middle part. The content.
Rest of page (sidebar, menus, Logo, tabs) will look like the winning design.

All the designs we gave 5 star ratings got all the elements we are looking for and feeling we are trying to create.
So designers here are on the right direction.

But the first one is more important if you can design only one.
The home page will be based on same elements just the content will be dynamically created from the forums.
So nothing changed we are still looking for web 2.0 designs.
But if you'll tell what confused you ill be more than happy to explain.

I really love to enter here though, I have already seen a great design by weirang it really push a web 2.0
but the updated instruction seems getting far from his entry.
Im kinda confuse about the brief, was the latest instruction should be follow or should I create 2 pages design.
I am preparing to have my entry submit this day.
Please give some clear brief, coz there are already different layout seeing here.

You are correct and sounds like you have a lot of expirience with online behavior of surfers.
That exactly what we plan to do.
We hope we will successfully deliver the feeling.
The page you all designing is an internal page and not the home page.
Our home page though will be daily changing shoe deals from around the web (not what you see now).
Something like http://www.slickdeals.net/.
So it will explain immediately what the site is all about plus will be great for SEO.
Our tabs also will let people see that this site is more about community (group therapy) and shoe deals not just shoe shopping site.
A lot ot the designs right now look like e-commerce sites. Perhaps, I'm not reading your breif right but I thought you wanted to introduce more of a web 2.0 feel espically in the area of giving the apperance of a community site. If so, again, I'm going to encourage you to consider a highly optimized index page that explains who are you are what particapatory features you offer. It will make new people more aware of who you are and certain elements can be used to continue loyalty of current uesrs.
It's one of the things that mark a 2.0 feel as exemplified in steps 8&9 of the refrence in your brief.
It also gives you an opportuntiy for some fantastic seo.
On the inner pages, you'd use some of he same elements on a smaller scale. Like a runway show the welcome page is a showcase of who you are and the inside pages are pret a porter, what you really wear.

We do love the chocolate colors (Brown,orange etc') We just wanted to make sure we will make a decision based on few options not just what we love.
