We're definitely now at a point where I can guarantee this prize. I'm still hoping for some more submissions, and some changes along the lines of the comments I've made in the #9 and #7 entries. Please see those entries for some exhaustive feedback to guide your submissions.

Also, I'd like to see some flags for language selection.

Dutch: Will have mine up in the morning/early afternoon Sunday.

The article, Phil was talking about the mettle it took to be a poker pro. And sustaining the bad spells. He said he had had a 6 month stretch, playing every day, without a single winning day.

I was never a big stakes player. I was a grinder, small limit games at The Mirage, Excalibur. Just wanted to pay my bills, and live comfortably. No way my bankroll could handle a 6 month dead spell. And every time I had a losing day, I would wonder...is this it? Is this the first day of my 6 months of losing?

I had a three day losing streak...and quit. I would be sitting down knowing - going in - that I would be just falling off the cliff every time I played. My head was too screwed up to keep sitting down. I knew I was beat before I even bought in. So I got out.

Good submissions so far... definitely a major step in the right direction. I'd like to see the Twitter and the email catcher featured higher on the page... should be two of the first things you see after the domain name.

I like the icons in #5 and #6, as well as the risky color scheme choice. But it still looks too much like a generic landing page... if I typed in PokerTilt.com and it ended up on that page, I'd personally be more inclined to hit the back button then click on anything. TALENT's #1-#4 is more what I'm looking for. It looks like "something" and makes me want to click. Some things I don't like about it are that listing so many cardrooms makes it look like a generic landing page and makes me much more inclined to click on one of the links that will actually result in a conversion.

I'd like to see something focusing on just 3-5 cardroom links that actually makes me want to click on one of them. That's the highest conversion for the page, so that should be featured. As it is, the front-running design still makes me much more inclined to click on the book or the video than a cardroom link. And it also has a very "stock" feel to it... even the poker chips look like WSOP chips with the "world series of poker" photoshopped out. I'd really like to see something new that doesn't remind me of something I've seen before. Also, something that would be nice is to see actual familiar poker faces in the design...

These are both great submissions, and a major step in the right direction. Thank you!

Also, Mark... would love to see what Phil Gordon said that spooked you. :) I imagine all the time about how poker and my own life would be different if a King had hit the river... it would no doubt be a lot different. Hope to see a good submission from you!

I'm pretty open to color schemes... just hoping to end up with something a lot better than what I've got on there now.

thanks for looking out, webxstudio. Look forward to the submissions. Help me make the web a prettier place. I know I'm not the only one tired of all the boring, static parked pages out there that appear every time you type in a domain. :)
