CloseDesign brief
BlockGuru.com will be a neighborhood rating and review website. When people move to a new city, they want to know which neighborhoods they would enjoy living and playing in.
BlockGuru has 5 star ratings for Safety, Location, Affordability, Restaurants, Bars/clubs, Good for singles, Good for familes...plus reviews written by locals to give readers a "feel" for neighborhoods that statistics can't.
In short, BlockGuru helps you find the perfect neighborhood.
BlockGuru.com
The primary audience is adults of any age who are relocating to a new city and want to find out about which neighborhoods would be a good fit for them. The secondary audience is people who already live in a city, but enjoy discussing neighborhoods and what's happening in them.
- Must use the attached logo
- Must say:
"BlockGuru helps you find the perfect neighborhood with:
* Reviews written by locals to give you a feel for neighborhoods that statitics can't.
* 1-5 star ratings help you find and sort neighborhoods by what's most important to you."
- Must say "Discover, rate and review neighborhoods in" and then list the cities where neighborhoods are reviewed, which are:
Seattle, New York, Portland, Chicago, Los Angeles.
- Somehow you have to note that all cities except Seattle are "coming soon" and it should be clear to the user that you begin to use the site by clicking on a city.
I want all the text to be text, not graphics, on the actual web page, so please don't use any type of shading or anything else that would make the text hard to code as text.
There should be links to the following pages: Contact Us, FAQ, Sign In, Terms of Use
There should by a copyright notice on the bottom that says "(c) BlockGuru.com 2009"
PSD only, no coding.
I am partial to simple web 2.0 styles and do not like stock photographs, particularly of people. If you use any graphics or photos in your design, please be prepared to show the source of them so I can be assured copyrights are in order.
For colors, please choose colors that compliment that logo.
