True, I've heard a lot of gettyimages horror stories as well. Thanks for the heads up :) We ended up using a different image all together.

@simpledesigns - but who is the contest holder going to pay the license to? He can't pay it to you - it has to be to the company that supplied the original photo. Don't forget, that Getty Images are taking a lot of people to court of the misuse of their imagery.

To be on the safe side, I'd probably change it for a new image from istock and the contest holder can pay for the license, that way you are both clear from any copyright infringements :-)

the photos im using are part of a library i already bought online a long time ago from digital vision, now aquired by gettyimages.com, thats why they dont have any watermarks.. and ofcourse i would supply a statement clearing their copyright to the contest holder if i do win the contest. i didnt realize photos were that cheap on istockimage, maybe ill look them up next time if i cant find what i need right here :)

Hey Simpledesigns, i think the CH knows that he needs to pay for images everyone uses... but istockimage is very cheap when you take them for a website format, it means like 5$ max for 2 photos ... a real joke :) With the price offered here, i can pay it !!! hehehe

By the way, almost everyone have istockphotos except you, are you sure the CH can use the photos ??? You need to pay right to someone... except maybe if you took yourself the picture of your sister or girlfriend. Be sure it is legal for the CH. He don't need any trouble :)

J'ai essayé de représenter plus l'enseignement des medias et des technologies pour ne pas trop tomber dans l'école générale ou classique. J'ai essayé de rendre le site dynamique, jeune et actuel. J'espère que tu va aimer. Je sais qu'il est un peu tard dans le concours mais, si tu aimes le design, je suis prêt à faire des corrections et des ajustements après la fin du concours. Thanks for listening Jerome and for updating the brief. Our comments were not meant as a battle against you, look at it as,educating a contest holder that may not know the costs involved in creating such a project :-)

You need to realise that $100 per page is just not enough to cover all the work involved, let alone $200 to code up all 7-8 pages. (lucky to get quality coding for that price for one page :-) You may get someone to code it up for that price, but I would be very careful about the quality of the coding you receive.

Now that the brief has been clarified and designers know what is involved, I'm sure you'll get more designers to the contest.

For me personally and probably for others, the reason for not participating, is that it is really difficult to comprehend what exactly is needed, particularly if you look at the linked sites and the fact that they are in French (even the pdf which could be useful), makes it impossible for non-French speaking people to understand what the site is really all about and try and come up with a concept of the exact requirements and something that you may like :-)

Maybe a bit more information/direction is needed as to what you want included on the home page and the internal page would be helpful.
