Is using real rappers ok like Henry187 did because I don't think legally it is. The images of the artists such as eminem surely wont be owed by the template designer and I am not sure how public domain they will be. Can someone clear this up for me please before I finish my design.

Well just think with the method you stated you would have wasted more of it. And when you really think about thats the best feedback when you know what the person is looking for by seeing whats on the top of his list.

I created a design - essentially for nothing (not even a little feedback)
hence - time wasted.
So your definition of "not wasting your time" seems somewhat flawed.

Ok well have a good day Alex and I'm sorry if my go back to the drawing board this design is not going to win method doesn't work for you are anyone else. Its just my way of not wasting your time.

The fact that you don't like my design isn't really an issue here.
The point I was trying to make is that - whether or not you like my design - you didn't provide feedback that either helps me or allows me to find out where I went wrong.
I'm sure you will find that most people expect at least a bit of personalised feedback after spending what could be up to a good few hours to create something that you decide you don't like.
Losing the competition doesn't bother me - but losing the competition, and never finding out what I could have done to improve my chances - does.
So - taking in to account the fact that "with any other present designs not having not much of a shot of winning" - It would be interesting to know why. Not just the fact, but perhaps a reason.
Essentially you've not given us feedback - you've only given us two potential examples. Not much use really - considering you had already provided examples and such with the brief.
I don't want to get on your nerves, or start a big argument - I'm just hoping that you can understand and see it from the viewpoint of somebody who has gone out of their way to enter your contest, by taking time out to design something specific. (like it or not).

I'm sorry you feel the way you do but the way I see it is that these two are on the top of the list with any other present designs not having not much of a shot of winning. Not saying that it is bad work but just I like what I like. So with me saying I'm not going to waste anyone time I decided to let everyone know so if your thinking was you couldn't do better no more time wasted and on to the next contest. If you are a person that is in it to the end you could come up with a new game plan and still win.
But if that makes you cry and you can't take it then a contest my not be for you.
Again I'm not going to waste anyones time.

I would have PMed this to you - but I expect some of the other entrants might be thinking the same thing.
Those who took the time to read the brief will surely be the closest to having something that you require. The nature of your post suggests that you think those who aren't providing a design you like didn't read the brief properly.
I would expect the contst holder to review the not-as-strong entries individually so we can all improve the designs - as opposed to lum them all together, with no real feedback and expect us all to start again from scratch.
I would have PMed this to you - but I expect some of the other entrants might be thinking the same thing.
